Free to browse. Free to list. One fee on each side, only when a lot sells.
For buyers
- Browsing: free. Search, filter and view every lot without an account.
- Questions: free. Message a seller about grade, MI, packaging or a COA (free account needed).
- Buyer fee: 6% of the lot price, shown before you pay. 4% on lots over $50,000.
- Card: your half of the card processing cost is added at checkout. ACH: no processing charge.
- Freight: FOB origin. You arrange pickup.
For sellers
Any business with surplus material can list on SurplusResin. Create a free seller account to get started.
- Listing: free.
- Seller fee: 6% of the lot price, deducted from your payout when the sale completes.
- Lots over $50,000: 4% instead of 6%, based on the lot price before fees.
- Card payments: you and the buyer split the card processing cost 50/50. Bank (ACH) payments have no processing charge.
Example: a $469.30 lot paid by ACH
Lot price$469.30 (1,805 lb × $0.26)
Buyer pays$469.30 + 6% fee $28.16 = $497.46. ACH: no processing charge.
Seller receives$469.30 − 6% fee $28.16 = $441.14
No hidden fees
The only fees on a sale are the marketplace fee (6% buyer, 6% seller; 4% each on lots over $50,000) and, for card payments only, a 50/50 share of card processing. We don’t charge for:
- Browsing, searching, or viewing listings
- Messaging buyers or sellers, including asking for a COA
- Subscriptions or memberships
